Military Cross T/2nd Lt AUSTIN JOHN ELMITT On the nights of 17/18th June and 18/19th June 1917 on the occasion of 2 successive raids on enemy's trenches, he set an example of coolness and contempt for danger beyond all praise. He handled his party with great skill. He had previously shewn gallant behaviour on the occasion ofthe attack on hostile positions on April 24th 1917
Military Cross T/2nd Lt. WILLIAM JOHN GRIFFITHS On the occasion of 2 successive raids on hostile trenches on nights of 17/18 and 18/19 June 1917, he behaved most gallantly & set a fine example to his men. During the withdrawal to our lines a hostile party was met. With a couple of men he attacked this party and rescued one of our wounded who was being carried off a prisoner.
D.C.M. No 26892 Pte HENRY HOLMAN On the night of 18/19 June 1917, on the occasion of a raid on the enemy's trenches Pte Holman realizing the necessity of getting all casualties back to our lines and also arranged parties for their removal. His gallantry was extraordinary
